Years
11 & 12 The building and refurbishment program - now
completed - has provided up-to-date facilities that allow for effective
teaching of both university preparation and vocational courses. In addition
to the normal academic courses, vocational courses are offered in the
areas of Construction, Hospitality, Retail and Information Technology. Patrician Brothers' College Fairfield offers boys undertaking study both in the Preliminary and HSC courses a broad range of pathways combining education, training and work placements. of Religion Patrician Brothers College has a strong profile in the community for its vocational programs. The challenge of the new millennium is to equip our school leavers to enter a variety of post-school employment, education and training options. The aim of these courses is to develop students who are multi-skilled and able to transfer knowledge, skills and competencies through vocationally oriented courses to the workplace. These courses are constantly under review and examples of these Industry Curriculum Framework courses are: * Information Technology The College offers a number of selected TAFE based courses each year to extend the curriculum. These courses vary from year to year, however, include such courses as hospitality. Boys can use certain Vocational Education and Training Courses for University Admission. Boys wishing to pursue this option should discuss this carefully with College staff.
